Weeks spent trying to get listed after a lot of frustrating hassle, eventually got most details done, had wanted listing to be complete before Easter holiday. For this service is not needed just a website but also the real structure of employees that shall deal with this kind of situation. This is a fake website that try to mimic Airbnb and but is far behind in service and support. ![]() Was a disaster for us that we had in the evening to organise the staying in bologna for the coming week. Cherry on the cake hometogo cancelled our booking stating that was sold and will return our money in 1 week. Finally we got a number of the host from another customer service of the hometogo but the host was not answering to phone calls or WhatsApp. Finally after different tentatives the same lady Visna answered again but still didn't give any information meanwhile we were in Bologna trying to reach the host with no success. We tried again Monday morning but til almost 9 nobody answered. We tried in vain to contact Hometogo on Saturday and Sunday with no success. We called Hometogo and they simply suggested to send an email to the host (that we already did) and wait the host to contact us (thing that never happened). The site withdraw the money from my account but i could have any info related to the Anonymous Host un order to arrange the check-in. I booked through this site on Friday for 7 nights starting Monday with a value more than 700 euro. 6pm update Rural Retreats have been amazing however and am very grateful for their support in this. Rural Retreats have been responsive and are looking into this for us but Home to Go have not responded to my question about WHY they took the full amount for a holiday in August and have yet to re pay me what they took? Sadly it looks like we will be needing to go down the legal route to get our money back which is quite disgusting and very, very disappointing. It has been a couple of days now.but despite calls / emails exchanged with Home To Go - they have yet to return our money. The booking conditions were clear- sadly we will not get our deposit back apparently but no other money should have been touched. Home to Go was booking agent for Rural retreats- who we wanted to book with- they informed me that they did not take our money but Home to Go did. Home To Go took our booking but instead of just taking our deposit- they took the full amount. We booked a holiday for August 2023 the very next day we had no choice but to cancel due to family circumstances. ![]()
